Pricing 

Hospice exam and consultation: $150-250

  • First visits will include gathering a history, exam, consultation, and formulating a plan. This can be a lengthy appointment. Plan for me to be there for about an hour. If any prescription medications are filled, these will be charged in addition.

Teleconsult: $50-75

  • These appointments are available to anyone with general quality of life questions or as follow-up after a hospice appointment. Prescription medications cannot be prescribed to new clients following a Teleconsult appointment.

In-home gentle Euthanasia: $300

  • I will come into your home and answer any questions you may have regarding euthanasia. A strong pain medication that includes sedation will be administered. This will allow your pet to get comfortable and sleepy within about 5-10 minutes. When it is time, a second medication will be given to help your pet pass gently.

  • Sometimes, I don’t hear from families until it is time for their beloved pet to pass. I do not require a hospice visit prior to a euthanasia appointment. If needed, we can start with an assessment, and then proceed to euthanasia if so decided.

Aftercare options:

  • If you/your family have decided to bury at home, I will leave after your pet has passed. Please check with the city to confirm that you are in a location where pet burial is allowed.

  • Private cremation: I will arrange transportation to the crematory. Your pet will be cremated privately, and the urn will be returned to you. Prices are based on weight.

    • 0-20#: $225

    • 21-40#: $240

    • 41-60#: $260

    • 61-80#: $280

    • 81-100#: $300

    • 101-150#: $330

    • If your pet weighs more than 150#, please contact us for pricing.

  • Communal cremation: I will arrange transportation to the crematory. Your pet will be cremated, and their remains will be mixed with soil and spread over 60 acres owned by the crematory. The land is wooded with two ponds and is lovely. Prices are based on weight.

    • 0-20#: $160

    • 21-40#: $180

    • 41-60#: $200

    • 61-80#: $215

    • 81-100#: $225

    • 101-150#: $260

Please note that any appointments seen evenings or weekends (if available) will be charged a $100 after hours fee. Additional travel fees may apply to those outside of Baton Rouge.
